Biker jackets are going to be huge this A/W, especially oversized shearling jackets. You can imagine my surprise then, when I came across this Acne oversized biker jacket dupe from Next!
I was having a browse online and did a sort of double take when I saw it…oversized – check, biker style – check, faux fur lined – double check! This is definitely going to be my all rounder jacket for the coming seasons, and best of all it only costs £70! The ultimate cherry on the cake is the fact it is an identical style to the Acne version which costs a whopping £1,900! I’ll admit there are differences, such as the leather and gold hardware and obviously the material but £70 vs £1,900…need I say more?

I can imagine wearing this over some winter layers, collar up, tartan scarf and knit hat for daytime. For night time, I love the look of oversized jackets draped on skinny silhouettes such as skinny ankle grazer jeans, turtle necks, pulling everything together with an oversized scarf. I don’t know about you but I can’t wait for the colder weather now so that I can whip this on! I intend to substitute the belt on my jacket with a leather look one, because I love the leather contrast on the Acne shearling jacket. The sleeves also look great unzipped at the cuffs and turned up so that the faux fur can be seen.
After some online research, I came across a similar version from All Saints (here which retails for £358). However, at a fraction of the price, I think the Next version does a pretty good job at competing with the big boys, don’t you?

Doing a regular dupe post is a great idea! I actually really like that Next jacket- its looks a little more fitted which I prefer!
