CLINIQUE TAKE THE DAY OFF CLEANSING BALM

Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm – £21
The Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm has been on my radar for a while now, but I’ve always been torn between this and the Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm – 2 cult favourites with similar offerings. It wasn’t until the lovely Corrie reminded me how the Clinique version is way cheaper and she only had great things to say about it so I decided that this was the one I was going to try. I’m not disappointed. This is such a gorgeous cleanser – completely scent free (which I love). I hate cleansers and any beauty products really that are heavily scented. I can’t help but think what it all might be doing to my skin!
The substance is quite strange (solid and lard-like) but on application it changes from a solid form to a silky smooth fluid oil. The texture feels really lovely, and despite not having any scent, I find that it feels quite luxurious on the skin. I use the tiniest pea size amount for my whole face and neck then rinse it off with warm water. It does dissolve eye makeup but I prefer to use my Bioderma to remove this first. I’ve also done the ‘bioderma face test’ after using the balm to ensure there aren’t any traces of makeup left behind and I can assure you, it does remove all traces of makeup. What’s more, it leaves no oily residue behind and my skin feels really ‘clean’ and soft afterwards.
The tub is a huge 125ml and you get all this for £21 which I think is pretty darn good, and since I only have to use the tiniest amount I can see this lasting me a really long time. I also love the packaging too, the only thing is that it’s a bit hefty so probably not the best for travelling but I can definitely let this one slide. Clinique states that it is suited for all skin types. I have combination skin with an oily t-zone for reference and it works amazingly well on my skin – non-drying, non-oily, leaving my skin feeling soft, clean and perfectly balanced.
I’m so happy I tried this product because it is hands down my favourite night time cleanser at the moment, even taking the lead over my much loved Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel. I do think I’ll try out the Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm at some point though…I’m just itching to try it out and compare both!
Have you tried the Clinique Take The Day Off or the Emma Hardie Cleansing Balms? What do you think of them?
Lots of love,
Chantelle xx
P.s. I’m feeling much better this week so I’ll be back to my usual blogging/vlogging routine. I’ve already filmed this week so 2 new videos will be going up on my channel (fashion hauls) so look out for those! 🙂

I haven’t tried any cleansing balms yet, although I think I would really like them since I generally like rich and creamy products. One of the ones I do want to try is the one from Clarins :o) Xx

I love the Clinique cleansing balm because it doesn’t have any parfume in it and is quite a simple formula, perfect for sensitive skin Mine lasted me for nearly 3 month, great product for the money.
