On Thursday night, I was lucky enough to be invited along to the Debenhams Autumn Winter 2013 press show held in the luxurious Blythswood Square Hotel in Glasgow. The night commenced with some cocktails, a browse through some of the Autumn/Winter beauty and fashion collections, followed by a catwalk show whilst we sipped champagne…it was all very fancy and everyone seemed to have a great night.
I took my friend, Gemma, along with me and both of us had a great night catching up whilst getting to try out some of the new makeup collections and browsing through some of the A/W fashion collections…and oh my goodness my wishlist has grown by at least an extra 10 items after seeing everything that Debenhams has to offer!
We firstly made a bee-line for the Urban Decay stand and tried out some of the 24/7 Glide on Lip Pencils with matching Revolution Lipsticks. My favourite was F-Bomb, a deep glossy red. We then had a look through some of the other beauty offerings…
My favourite part of the evening had to be browsing through the new A/W fashion collections, and I couldn’t take my eyes off the H! By Henry Holland collection, particularly a green leather and tweed coat, mini kilt and red tartan backpack (of course!).
To finish off, Debenhams showcased it’s exclusive portfolio of the “best of British design” through a catwalk presentation of their A/W collections, including J by Jasper Conran, Betty Jackson, Rocha by John Rocha, Butterfly by Matthew Williamson, Red Herring and H! by Henry Holland to name only a few! After the catwalk, we were served champagne and nibbles – my favourite was the little mini fish and chips (which I scoffed before taking a photo haha).
A huge thank you to Debenhams for inviting me to such a great event and I can’t wait to start ticking off my A/W wishlist, starting off with that tartan backpack!! 😉
