BOBBI BROWN CORRECTOR AND CREAMY CONCEALER KIT

The Bobbi Brown creamy concealer is something that has received a lot of hype in the blogging world but when it comes to under eye concealers I’m quite a fussy lassie. Firstly, I want something that stays put the whole day, secondly it must brighten for that ‘bright eyed n bushy tailed’ look and thirdly it MUST not crease. My true hate when it comes to under eye concealer is creasing and the look of dryness around the eye area. Now, it’s pretty hard to come by a concealer with all 3 qualities but this threesome does just the trick.
First up we have the corrector. When I toddled along to House of Fraser I was not expecting to come out with this in hand. The whole point was to go in, try on the creamy concealer then have a good ole think about it before making any purchases…but we all know that never happens. Before I knew it, I had a mirror in hand comparing the difference between my right ‘sean of the dead’ and left: ‘I’ve had 10 hours sleep and I aint afraid to show it’ peepers. The difference – unbelievable. I didn’t actually think my under eye circles were that bad until I tried this stuff and really, I couldn’t believe I hadn’t tried this out sooner. The light pinky corrector counteracts with any khaki/blue under eye tones and immediately brightens and lifts the eye. Oh my the lift….incredible is all I have to say (my colour is Light to Medium Bisque for reference).
Next up, a light application of the creamy concealer is patted on top with the ring finger to add a dose of your natural skin colour and tone down the brightness (my colour is Natural). The consistency is quite thick so I find it better to apply by warming the product with my ring finger before applying straight onto the under eye area. A brush can be used too but I just feel like this wastes the product and the results look more natural when using my finger. It’s strange because despite being such a high coverage concealer and being quite thick in consistency it actually feels quite moisturising on the eye and doesn’t look cakey which I half expected before trying it out.
To set everything, a light dusting of the Sheer Finish Pressed Powder in Pale Yellow was applied and voila, job done. Since I got this I haven’t gone near my previous fave concealer (By Terry Touche Veloutee) and it actually pains me to say that considering the hefty price tag! Oh, talking about price I didn’t even ask the MUA how much it cost before getting to the till…that’s when you know it’s a good’un!
To round up the results: brightening, lifting, moisturising, non-creasing, high coverage and lasts all day with minimal touch ups – what more could a girl want from an under eye concealer? 🙂
Have you tried the Bobbi Brown Corrector or Creamy Concealer Kit? What do you think of them?

I haven’t tried up but I certainly want to get something like this. I have been impressed with Bobbi Brown products in general though.

I really want to try this – I have terrible under eye circles, so I’m always on the hunt for a good, high coverage concealer!
