Winter is my favourite time of year for many reasons but one that I favour in particular is the fact that I can dig out all of my favourite deep red and burgundy nail polishes. Essie’s Wicked is the latest addition to my stash and it has quickly became one of my favourite winter reds…a dark burgundy/brown toned hue that looks gorgeous in the winter months. I’m slightly biased as I adore these types of deep wine colours in general but I feel I can pull this colour off with practically any outfit! It looks amazing in the evening for nights out, and I just think it looks so pretty and sophisticated during the day. It’s a dream to apply and I just love the Essie brushes too. I have quite a small nail bed and find that a couple of sweeps coats my nail without going over onto my fingers. The formula is lovely too, quite thin but two coats is enough for an opaque finish. Topped off with some Seche Vite top coat, the end result is a beautiful glossy gel like finish. Need I say more? It’s love.
