AN EVERYDAY WINTER GLOW | TANNYMAXX BELUGA CAVIAR BRONZER

Guys, hold onto your hats because I think I may just have found the most perfect everyday gradual tanner. I’ve had a bit of a love hate relationship with gradual self tanners over the years. I love the idea of them but they just never seem to be all that they’re hyped up to be. The whole point of a gradual tanner (to me, anyway) is that they’re practical, quick to use, moisturise and of course give a lovely tanned glow. However, from previous experience I’ve always been left disappointed. A month or so ago though, I was sent the Tannymaxx Beluga Luxury Bronzer…with caviar extract. Now, the thought of eating caviar…ewww BUT slathering it all over my body in the hopes of nourishing my skin cells? I was down with trying that out and let me tell you my thoughts…

WHAT IS IT?

In a nutshell this is an everyday gradual tanner that promises a healthy golden tan glow. Use it in the morning or evening after showering and it acts as a moisturiser as well as a gradual self tanner. Simples.

APPLICATION

The consistency is like a light moisturiser. In fact it reminds me of a moisturising milk in the sense that it sinks into the skin SO quickly. Something that I hate about gradual self tanners (well the ones I’ve tried) is that they always leave me feeling slightly tacky and I absolutely hate that feeling. However the Beluga Bronzer sinks in so quickly that you can pretty much get ready straight away! This is probably the thing I love most about it – no waiting around time, just slather on, get dressed and go! Plus it leaves my skin feeling silky smooth and nourished. I should also mention actually, that had a really itchy dry patch on my upper arm before I started using it and within a week of using every day it had totally cleared! It’s pretty much became part of my everyday body care routine ever since and I’ve been applying it every morning after I shower! The shade of the bronzer is a very light golden tan, not your typical cream colour so it actually gives you a very very slight glow when you first apply it.

KEY INGREDIENTS

  • Caviar Extract – nourishes skin cells
  • Aloe Vera – helps moisture balance of skin
  • Jojoba Oil – relaxes and moisturises
  • Vitamins E & A – protect the skin against free radicals

RESULTS

After application I find that it takes around 3 hours for the tan to start showing and the result is a very light natural golden glow – perfect for Winter and paler skin tones. I also find that it works incredibly well at extending my tan so I’ve also been using it on top of my darker self tanners at the weekends too so a big thumbs up here. I should also mention that it can be used on the face and works very well! As someone who doesn’t use regular self tanners on the face I was a bit worried about trying this but after seeing the results on my body I decided to give it a go and it’s been great and hasn’t broken me out one bit!

SCENT

The scent is very light and floral – not overpowering in the slightest and not ‘fake-tanny’ if you know what I mean?! Even after a few hours I don’t smell that biscuity smell you can get from a lot of tanners!

WEAR TIME

As the results give a light glow it wears off really well. I always exfoliate every 2-3 days as standard so this probably helps since I like to use it every day!

WHO WILL LOVE IT?

All my pale skinned gals looking for a new everyday gradual tanner that doesn’t make you look like an oompa loompa this is THE one! The balanced DHA ratio develops a tan that suits you so rest assured there wont be any mishaps! I’d also actually recommend this product based on the moisturising properties alone because I love how silky soft it makes my skin feel and of course the added bonus that it doesn’t leave my skin feeling sticky whatsoever…seriously though not in the slightest! If you’re also looking for something that will help extend your tan then again I’d definitely check this out. Darker skinned ladies don’t fret because Tannymaxx has recently just launched a UK website offering alllllll the fake tanning products you can think of…I have my eye on the Dark Coconut Truffle Bronzer next!

If you’d like to purchase the Tannymaxx Beluga Luxury Bronzer, it retails for £19.50 here.

This sounds perfect for me! I’m super pale, so don’t want to use anything too dark because I’ll probably end up looking orange haha. I’ve tried things like the Garnier and Johnson’s gradual tan but just found they looked streaky and took ages to sink in! May have to purchase this 🙂
