If you follow me on Instagram or twitter you’ll know already that I love to bake. In fact if you’ve followed my blog/youtube for a little while you will already have seen me post a couple of recipes…hello sweet tooth. There’s something so therapeutic about baking (am I allowed to say that…is that really a thing?) so I’m always looking up new recipes to try out. Something that I’ve wanted to bake for the longest time is granola. I LOVE granola but I can’t help but think every time I buy shop bought granola that I don’t know half of what’s in it. It also get’s a bit of a bad name for being packed full of sugars, additives, fat and calories. I’ve been researching for a while how to make my own and finally added some ingredients together to create something DELICIOUS…not just saying that!
HEALTHY NUTTY GRANOLA RECIPE
Now, I do use syrup in this recipe. We all know sugar isn’t good for us but I’m a firm believer in ‘everything in moderation’ and it works out to be around a teaspoon per serving which I think is pretty darn good. If you store this in an airtight container it can last up to 1 month…but to be honest it’s never around long enough in my household!!
Eat with: fresh cold milk and banana, or greek yoghurt with mixed berries…YUM.
You can watch the video here. Make sure you stay tuned to the end for the nutrition per serving. All the ingredients are listed in the downbar as always 🙂
Just a little disclaimer, I am not a dietician or nutritionist. This is simply a recipe that I enjoy baking as a healthier alternative to shop bought cereals and sugary snacks. Enjoy!
Lots of love,
Chantelle xx
