MAC STEREO ROSE MINERALIZE SKINFINISH BLUSH

For the past 5 or so years, I have been stuck in a bit of a blusher rut – the culprit being Nars Orgasm. I first came across Nars Orgasm blush when my friend bought a duo of Nars Laguna and Orgasm, but after discovering the blush wasn’t for her she decided to give it to me…the rest is history really and I have been using it ever since!

I have tried out loads of different blushes but nothing has came close to my trusty Nars blush, that is until I came across Mac Stereo Rose Mineralize Skinfinish …and so my blusher affair began (2 weeks ago to be precise).
I’m quite surprised I actually managed to get my hands on one of these as they are limited edition and the hype around them is crazy! In the off chance though I popped into House of Fraser a few weeks ago and they had one left as part of the Mac Apres Chic Collection (it was obviously meant to be). The blusher is just as gorgeous in the pan as it is on. It is a gorgeous coral blush with hints of light pink and gold shimmer veining that runs through it. It is a very soft texture, and the great thing about it is that it is extremely easy to blend so it can be dusted lightly for a soft, subtle finish or can be built up for a deeper colour. I also think it would look great on a variety of different skin tones due to how easily it can be blended and I think this is probably one of the main reasons there is so much hype around it. I tend to use a light dusting of bronzer on top of my foundation so I think this coral shade matches my skin perfectly. The gold veining is gorgeous and the shimmer isn’t too intense.
Unfortunately, as this is limited edition it is quite difficult to get your hands on and is now sold out online and in most, if not all, Mac Stores but if you fancy trying this out keep your eyes peeled as I am sure it will come back out again soon! I would be surprised actually if Mac didn’t decide to make this a permanent addition to the Mineralize Skinfinish collection due to its popularity.
As for me, I am going to have to use this sparingly until I manage to stock up on another…I think the chances of it making it into spring though is highly doubtful!!!
Have you tried this highly coveted Mac beauty product? What do you think of it?
