WHAT’S ON MY FACE

It occurred to me the other day whilst looking at another blogger’s ‘What’s On My Face Post’, that despite loving reading these types of posts I never do them myself! I love finding out what other people are enjoying using and what’s working for them so I decided to just share a little about what I’m currently loving.  Like many beauty addicts, I mix up my daily makeup quite a lot but you know when you just find something that ‘works’? I’ve been reaching for this little combo quite a lot lately. On a daily basis I usually keep things minimal (ish) opting for a flawless – or as close to as possible – base with a lil’ bit of glow, a feline flick and a pinkish nude lip. Simples.

For base, I’ve gone back to one of my old favourites, Nars Sheer Glow which works amazingly well over a couple of primers I’ve been layering, Revlon Photoready Perfecting Primer and L’Oreal Lumi Magique Pure Light Primer, and then as always, I pat a little bit of Benefit Porefessional around my nose. I’ve been really loving using the Revlon and L’Oreal primers together as they create a flawless glowy base and I hardly need to use any foundation which I love. I set everything with my beloved Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light, and for bronzer I’ve been reaching for an old favourite that I’ve recently rekindled my love for, Mac Pro Longwear bronzing powder in Sun Dipped (the closest I’ve ever came across to Nars Laguna). For eyes, I used Maybelline gel liner for a feline flick and Maybelline The Falsies for some seriously fluttery lashes. Another oldie that I’ve been reaching for lately is Mac Stereo Rose Mineralize Skinfinish, it gives a gorgeous peachy pink flush to the cheeks and I find no need to wear a highlighter when I use this as it creates a natural glow. To finish I swiped some Mac Pink Plaid for a girly pink pout. This is the latest lippy to join my stash and I’m obsessed with it. As it’s a matte finish though, I slicked on some lipbalm beforehand and on top as my lips have been really chapped and sore the past few weeks. Et voila! 🙂
